Ken Lippold

Ken was born and raised in the Chicago area. He studied at Moody Bible Institute and Wheaton College Graduate School. After working for First Baptist of Geneva in the Chicago suburbs for 8 years as the pastor for university students he and Emmy relocated to Oceanside, CA where he continued to pastor university students at New Song Community Church.

Ken came to Christ Church in September of 2013 to joint the staff team, and leads Connect Central on Wednesdays. We haven’t let him leave yet.

He enjoys food, reading and loves road cycling so much he rode all the way across the USA in 2003. He met his wife Emmy outside of a coffee shop and they still drink coffee together every day.

Maurice McCracken

Maurice is from Northern Ireland, but is an adopted scouser now. He looks after pastoral care, small groups, Sunday services and the church staff team, and in his spare time loves reading novels and reality TV.



Lindsay Ferguson
Minister for Discipleship & Training

Lindsay came from Scotland to Liverpool initially to work as a Geologist at Liverpool University. She then moved to Australia to work for the minerals industry. In Australia she studied for a ministry degree and joined the staff at Perth Bible College.

Lindsay returned to the UK in 2010 and has since spent time both in geology and ministry. She now oversees Training and Discipleship at Christ Church Liverpool full time.

Her interests include walking, swimming, good films, being outdoors, travel, kayaking and spending time with friends and family.

Jack Popplewell
Project Manager

Jack is originally from Leeds and moved to Liverpool to study Business at university, where he met and married Sarah.

After university he worked in banking and chemical distribution, before deciding to take a sabbatical and spend 6 months in India with Sarah working with victims of human trafficking.

Now he works at Christ Church as our Project Manager.

Anna Stilton
AT3 Apprentice

After coming to Liverpool for a Geography degree, Anna worked at Christ Church Liverpool as a ministry trainee and is now our Children's Ministry Apprentice.

Anna organises the weekly children's groups and children's events. Alongside that she is studying for a GDip in Theology with Union. In her spare time Anna enjoys reading crime fiction, walks and meeting up with friends. 

Gaynor Evans
Church Administrator

Gaynor is almost local to Liverpool, coming from Neston on the Wirral. Gaynor works part time for Christ Church Liverpool, Charles Thompson's Mission in Birkenhead and Liverpool City Mission.

She has two teenage children, Rosie and Tom. She loves baking, drinking tea, looking after the family guinea pigs and hanging out with friends.

Naomi Shin
Student Worker

Naomi leads the student ministry at Christ Church Liverpool and leads the summer internship programme with AT3. Naomi loves  football, coffee shops and travelling with her husband, Daniel.



Josh Norman
Ministry Intern

Josh was born and raised in a Christian home in North Wales and lived there until he moved to Liverpool for work. For a while he had felt God's calling to get invoved in ministry, but ignored it. It wasn't until he started a one-to-one with someone in church who challenged how he was living his life, that he felt a call from God to join the staff team as a Ministry Intern. He is excited to serve Christ Church this year and to be trained for whatever God has planned for his life!

Sarah Oliver
yConnect Leader

Sarah moved to Liverpool to study nursing at the University of Liverpool, and loved it so much she stayed! 

Sarah volunteers 2 days a week with Christ Church to work with the young people, in the ministry YConnect, and in her spare time works as a nurse at the Royal Liverpool Hospital!  

Caylin Wylie
Communications Manager

Caylin was born in South Africa, but moved to Northern Ireland in 1999 as a child. In 2013 she moved to Liverpool for work as a physiotherapist and stayed after she met her husband, David. In 2017 Caylin made the decision to leave physiotherapy behind and pursue a Masters in Marketing and graduated in 2018. She enjoys travelling, cooking, baking, and eating!

Caylin is currently working part-time as the Communications Manager for Christ Church.
