Explore the opportunities for women at Christ Church Liverpool. Our women's ministry programme offers safe, friendly places where you can get to know other women at church and grow in your faith in Jesus. We would love you to join us!
We want to provide informal and more formal training opportunities for learning and growing together. We have women from very different backgrounds and stages of life, and God has put different things on our hearts.
We have regular opportunities for growing in relationship and being discipled together through Saturday Breakfasts (in homes) and Women’s Seminar Mornings (at the Church Centre).
We’re looking to express the biblical principles of intentional ‘training’ relationships in our church family: Older women teaching younger women (Titus 2:3-6) and passing the baton on (2 Tim 2:2).
This is a great opportunity for women to develop together in evangelism and speaking skills, with support to write an evangelistic talk, or share your story, or relate faith to a current cultural moment.
There will be an initial training morning on Saturday 28th February, with Anna McCracken helping us develop tools and skills for creating something evangelistic to use with our friends.
There will be follow up in small groups to practise and receive feedback, and support each other in using what we have created. The groups will decide how and when to do this. There will be an opportunity to put this into practice by hosting a meal with a message for friends, or consider what would work in your context.
This is for women with different levels of experience - for those who have never done something like this before, or with lots of experience, as a great way to encourage and spur each other on as we seek to reach our friends.
If you could book on by Monday 16th Feb, this would help us to plan the groups, thanks!
Hi, I'm Sarah. I first came to Liverpool to study nursing, and then joined Christ Church when it started in 2003. Since then I've been working as a nurse in the Royal Liverpool Hospital, intermingled with a bit of time overseas and working with students. I have recently joined the staff team at Christ Church, and look after our Youth and Women's ministry. My heart is to see women flourish and equipped to grow and serve in the places God has called us to be, and that our women's ministry would provide an opportunity to do this as we walk alongside each other.
